Request a Photo Shoot

Based in the United States? Request a photo shoot in Shoptiques New York City studio.


Thank you for your interest in a Shoptiques studio photoshoot!

We will respond to your request for a photoshoot by Friday of the week following you request. Upon confirming your photoshoot, we will send you an email notification and information regarding next steps.​

Please review these important policies before requesting your shoot via the form at the bottom of this page.

Shipping
  • The cost of shipping to and from our studio in New York City is the responsibility of the boutique and will not be paid for by Shoptiques.
  • Merchandise should arrive no later than two business days before the shoot, in order to be included.
  • A prepaid return shipping label must be included in the package containing your samples to ensure items are shipped back in a timely manner.
  • We recommend shipping with UPS, which regularly drops off and pick up packages from our studio. If using FedEx or USPS, you must request a pick-up yourself for the day following your shoot.
  • We recommend purchasing insurance for your merchandise. Shoptiques is not responsible for any damage or loss due to shipping and handling. 

Inventory
  • A specially formatted Inventory Spreadsheet must be completed prior to your shoot:
    • A DIGITAL COPY of the Inventory Spreadsheet must be emailed to us no later than two business days before the shoot. Please send this in .xls or .csv format. The team will NOT photograph your merchandise without an inventory spreadsheet.
    • Please follow the Inventory Spreadsheet exactly. An example is here.
    • A PRINT COPY of the Inventory Spreadsheet must be included in the package containing your merchandise.
  • An email notification will be sent when products are live on the site so that you may double-check your inventory levels.

Number of Items to Send
  • For your FIRST photoshoot with us, please send 20-30 of your best pieces. We will guarantee shooting AT LEAST 15 of these items, but we will shoot as many as possible.
  • For all subsequent shoots, please send us 20 of your best pieces and we guarantee shooting AT LEAST 10 of your items and will try to shoot all 20, where possible. If you want to ensure that we photograph all of the items you send, then simply send the minimum number of items (10).
  • Please note: each individual color/print/version of the same product counts as one item.
  • Please always check Add Product Tool prior to sending your pieces, because it may have been already photographed and is available for you to easily add without sending us the item. 

What to Send (and What Not to Send)
  • PLEASE SEND items for which you have at least 3 in your inventory. We will not shoot any one-of-a-kind items.
  • PLEASE SEND your best, in season pieces. Your ability to schedule subsequent photoshoots will be determined based on the sell-through performance of your first photoshoot items.
  • PLEASE SEND samples in small sizes suitable for our models. Specific sizes will be provided in your confirmation email.

  • SWIMWEAR AND LINGERIE should only be sent if you have specifically been booked for a Swimwear and Lingerie shoot.

  • PLEASE DO NOT SEND plus size clothing.
  • PLEASE DO NOT SEND items with a retail value of less than $20. Items costing less than $20 will not be shot.
  • PLEASE DO NOT SEND bath & body products, fragrances containing alcohol, or any items which cannot be sold on the site. For a more complete list, please see here, or consult the Boutique Success Team.

     If you are requesting your first photoshoot and have questions, please feel free to email us at help@shoptiques.com.

    Please note that you can only have one photo shoot scheduled at a time. If you have an upcoming photo shoot, please wait until after your photo shoot has passed to request another. Keep in mind that booking is determined by sell-through. Eg. if we shot 10 items from your last photo-shoot, you should aim to have at least 5 sales from items that we shot prior to requesting another shoot.
